Yes, you can downgrade or upgrade your entry within the Great Floridian Multisport Festival prior to race day. You will not be allowed to switch races on race day. If you are upgrading, you may be required to pay the diference in entry fees. If you are downgrading, the difference in entry fees cannot be refunded. Special entry promotions may require a minimal transfer fee in order to switch races. Please email Registration@SommerSports.com to request a transfer to a different race within the GFT Multisport Festival.

No if you are racing. In accordance with USAT rules you must claim your own packet and show a valid ID at check-in.
If you are not racing, yes and a photo ID wiill not be required. Your bib number will be removed from the packet first.
Yes! Registration volunteers will first remove your race bib, bike number and timing chip before handing over your packet.
The swim takes place in the pristine waters of Lake Minneola. The lake is a clean freshwater lake with a white sand bottom.
Wetsuit use is in accordance with USAT rules. This means that if the water temperature is 78 or below, wetsuit use is allowed and it will not impact your placement in results or USAT rankings. The GFT has been wetsuit legal in all but four of the past 28 years.
The official swim cutoff for swimmers in all events is 10:15am.

Yes, three support teams will be on the bike course during the race. Another support station will be located near the bike special needs station at the venue. All cyclists should be prepared to perform basic bike repair tasks like changing a flat tire on their own.
All full distance particpants including Relay Teams and Aqua Bike participants must rack their bikes by 9:00pm on Friday. Overnight security will be provided. All other athletes can rack their bikes on Friday if they wish, but it is not required. The transition area officially closes at 8:15am.
No, USAT rules prohibit the use of headphones during a triathlon.
Run support officially ends at 1:00am.
The run course stations will be stocked with water, Coca Cola, Gatorade Endurance Formula, ice, salty snacks, cookies, bananas, and more. After dusk, stations will also have warm chicken broth available.
