* Important Race Cancellation Notice * Just over a day ago Hurricane Milton crossed the Florida Peninsula resulting in a substantial impact on the Gulf Coast and all of Central Florida. The Clermont area was hit hard with high winds and more than 12 inches of rain in a 24-hour period causing flooding, power outages, and downed trees throughout the area including parts of the course. Based on the significant local impact of the storm, Sommer Sports and the City of Clermont have mutually agreed that it is necessary to cancel the upcoming 2024 Great Floridian Multisport Festival scheduled for October 19-20, 2024. The event will not be rescheduled in 2024. All athletes will be contacted via email on Tuesday, October 15, with several future race options to select from. We realize how important this race is to you and understand the disappointment that this may cause. The health and safety of our athletes, volunteers, staff and community is our utmost priority and will always be our top priority in any decision we make. Thanks for your understanding during this challenging time.
